Simply titled The Great Mouse Detective Fan Animation by Ellen Sturtevant, it's a quick clip of Basil getting more than he bargained for while dining at a restaurant. Although these two updates are not GMD-related, they both contain the voice actors of Vincent Price (Professor Ratigan) and Barrie Ingham (Basil of Baker Street). For the Contemporary Cast & Crew page, I added a photo of Vincent with a Christmas Tree. For the Scenes page, I added a short clip of Barrie's character (the Mayor) wishing everyone a "Merry Christmas" from the 1989 TV movie, The Tailor of Gloucester. Also, today is Candy Candido's birthday, the voice of Fidget the Bat! 12-18-2020 | Updated the Scenes page of Audio & Video Galleries with a great little animation test of Basil Startled. Created by Kaylee (at Instagram), there's also photos of key frames from the test. Basil is a very detailed miniature figure made out of resin. This was after coming across an Official Disney item: Disney The Great Mouse Detective PopSockets PopGrip. It's a little round suction that sticks to the back of your phone or tablet for better support. The popsocket features the characters of Basil, Dawson, Fidget, and Olivia. The tote features many felines from the animated features including Felicia, Professor Ratigan's sassy feline, from The Great Mouse Detective. 11-20-2020 | Updated the I [heart] page with another confession from the Walt Disney Confessions Tumblr account. Despite being picked on in school, the anonymous sender talked about how Basil helped them become better skilled at solving problems, making their teachers very proud of them. 11-13-2020 | Another Friday the 13th! Oh, noooo! This Throwback Thursday at Walt Disney Archives of Twitter shared a photo of Professor Ratigan and Vincent Price. I have added it to the Contemporary Cast & Crew page, respectively. For World Kindness Day, be kind and, as always, be safe! 11-06-2020 | Today is also my sister's birthday: Happy Birthday to her! 🎂🎁 Updated the Miscellaneous photo page under Disney Daily Calendar, a section I haven't touched in ages, with a new image. This is a repeated one that features Fidget the Bat setting the mousetrap with Basil and Dr. Dawson tied to it. It was shown for two days this year: October 24/25, 2020. 10-30-2020 | Happy Halloween 🎃 for tomorrow! This week I added Laura to the Professional Artists page starting with seven fantastic works, three of which focus on the 'what if' of Ratigan surviving the fall from the clock tower. Based on the comic book story, "The Diamond Trap," She did three views in digital art of Ratigan safely escaping. She also drew some profile images for Basil and Dr. Dawson, again with Ratigan looking like his usual suave self.
